Odd with all the other specs and a 90mm mechanical excursion limit that xmax is only 10.4mm.

Interesting... kind of crazy with the second mount points so it doesn't I guess just break the front baffle due to the weight/force!

Looks like a car audio competition sub.

Xlim (mechanical limit) is how far the voice coil can physically move before it hits the stops or is incapable of retuning to null. Xmax is how far the voice coil can move while remaining in the linear portion of the magnetic field.

Mounting points on the back are also common for car audio SPL competition, even if you have to drill and tap them yourself. :)

Sounds temping to build one using the 2cu.ft box and a 500w plate amp from Parts Express.

I say again: this sub looks like a great high power car audio solution. Music? Maybe, maybe not...

There's a chasm between temptation and actualization in my case. This sub idea is but a fleeting temptation.

    ah, I see.
    just an aside...
    subs (often times two)
    can really elevate a stereo.
they needn't be mega subs either,
    look up Jim Smith @
Get Better Sound - Get Better Sound

along those lines look into Earl Geddes
    of Duke Lejune ( swarm)

and not to beat a dead horse Welti et. al., of
    Harman. or Toole

Very true. The PSA 15 incher really improved the sound of my modest system.

I can think of about 470 reasons why I won't be getting one of these.
